Vol 5, No 3 (2016)

This issue includes five papers originating from subject matters presented at the XXI IMEKO World Congress 2015 held in Prague, during sessions organized by Technical Committee 21 on Mathematical Tools for Measurements, and selected for publication in Acta IMEKO. In the second part of this issue, further eight papers are published that were originally presented at other TC sessions of the 2015 World Congress and that are here presented in their extended versions.

Vol 5, No 2 (2016)

This special issue of Acta IMEKO contains a selection of papers presented at the 1st International Conference on Metrology for Archaeology – MetroArcheo2015.
This conference, which took place in Benevento, Italy, on October, 22-23 2015, was a real and concrete opportunity for gathering together science and measurement with the humanistic world, specifically archaeology, with the final aim of encouraging discussion and exchange of knowledge and expertise between worlds still considered, often wrongly, distant and different one from the other.

Vol 5, No 1 (2016)

This first issue in 2016 of ACTA IMEKO contains a set of interesting papers associated to IMEKOFOODS 2014, the first IMEKO event on metrology in the area of food and nutrition (see the following editorial by the guest editor Claudia Zoani). Two other papers from the 2015 IMEKO World Congress and two technical notes complete this issue.

Vol 4, No 4 (2015)

This issue contains extended papers that were initially submitted to the IMEKO TC21 (Mathematical Tools in Measurements) International Conference “Advanced Mathematical and Computational Tools in Metrology and Testing” (AMCTM) which was held in September 2014 in St. Petersburg, Russia. Some other papers published in this last issue of 2015 are related both to IMEKO TC1 and TC12 and to another scientific event that took place in Italy (the 2015 Italian Conference on electrical and electronic measurements organized by GMEE and GMMT). The last paper in this issue is a freely submitted paper.

Vol 4, No 3 (2015)

This third issue in 2015 of ACTA IMEKO contains 11 papers related to the 20th IMEKO TC4 International Symposium and the 18th TC4 Workshop on ADC and DAC Modelling and Testing.

Vol 4, No 2 (2015)

This second issue in 2015 of ACTA IMEKO is particularly rich in content. It contains 14 papers related to the 3 IMEKO events:
- IMEKO TC14 - ISMQC - 11th International Symposium on Measurement and Quality Control, Cracow and Kielce, POLAND, September 11-13, 2013,
- Joint IMEKO International TC3, TC5 and TC22 Conferences, Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA, February 3 - 5, 2014,
- 13th IMEKO TC10 Workshop on Technical Diagnostics Advanced measurement tools in technical diagnostics for systems' reliability and safety, Warsaw, POLAND, June 26 - 27, 2014.
Moreover, it also contains the very first two papers that were submitted directly to ACTA IMEKO without being presented in a prior IMEKO event. The publication of these two papers testifies a major change in the policy of this journal. While it originally started as one of the two journals of IMEKO, publishing invited and extended versions of papers presented at IMEKO conferences and workshops it now also considers papers describing results and advancements in the state-of-the-art of measurement science as a whole, freely submitted by their authors. The Editors believe that this a major advancement in how this journal serves the community of its readers and contributors. At the same time this is an open invitation to all prospective authors to consider this journal as one journal among which to choose when selecting the publication destination of their researches. This journal is and remains an open access journal serving the large community of researchers in metrology.

Vol 4, No 1 (2015)

This issue is centered on the 19th Symposium on Measurement of Electrical Quantities and the 17th Workshop on ADC/DAC Modelling and Testing which were held in the city of Barcelona in July, 2013. The main goals of these time-honored scientific events were to show the latest investigations and exchange of information and points of view on current research in the development and use of electrical and electronic instruments for measuring, monitoring and recording electrical signals. As a novelty, the 19th IMEKO TC4 expands the topics covered in previous editions in order to address issues related to marine technologies and applications.

Vol 3, No 4 (2014)

This Special Issue on "Technical Diagnostics : New Perspectives in Measurements, Tools and Techniques for Industrial Applications" contains seven enhanced papers that were initially presented at the IMEKO TC10 Workshop 2013 in Florence/ITALY.

Vol 3, No 3 (2014)

This issue of ACTA IMEKO collects papers submitted from authors that are active in various areas of IMEKO and ends the publication of manuscripts submitted after the completion of the World Congress in Busan (Korea), in 2012.

Vol 3, No 2 (2014)
