Statement on the European Union's GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

This website uses personal data related to persons who are involved in the work of IMEKO.
The data is received from the individual persons through the secretariat and the member organizations, committees and organs of IMEKO or when they register with this website. It is stored in a database. E-mail addresses are used to send e-mails to responsible persons according to the workflow.

Backups contain information associated with the named persons. This information is stored for the legitimate interest of the security and reliability of the website. It will only be used for restoring purposes.

Individual control for registered users
Persons registered with this site are in control of the corresponding data in the database.
The only information that is required to register is the user name and the email address. This is necessary for identification purposes and to ensure that the account is unique to the given email address.

Registered users can add more information to their account or give trusted persons (for example, secretary, IMEKO Information officer) the permission to do so. Data added to the account remains in the database until it is deleted. This can be done by the user or by a trusted person.

Individual Rights
Right to data portability – the right to have access to personal data in a common, machine-readable format: The person can receive the personal data in CSV format.
Right to access – the right to learn from IMEKO whether any of the personal data is being stored and processed: Basic information is given above. For more details, please contact the IMEKO Information officer.
Right to object - the right to object to the processing of data relating to the person.
Right to erasure – the right for any personal data to be erased: Registered users can delete their personal data themselves. Their account can be deleted by the IMEKO Information officer. All not registered persons should contact the IMEKO Information officer.
Right to rectify – the right to edit any inaccurate personal data about the use.
