Introductory notes for the Acta IMEKO thematic issue on the 2023 SBM Metrology Conference – part 2

This special issue of Acta IMEKO continues the dissemination of selected contributions presented at the 2023 SBM Metrology Conference, highlighting recent advances in measurement science and its diverse applications. The 15 papers collected here showcase innovative research in areas ranging from chemical and environmental metrology to industrial processes and health-related measurements. Together, they reflect the growing relevance of Metrology in supporting technological development, regulatory frameworks, and societal needs. By sharing these peer-reviewed studies, this issue reinforces the role of measurement as a foundation for scientific progress, quality assurance, and international collaboration across multiple disciplines.
