Focus and scope

We are pleased to announce an Acta IMEKO special issue related to IMEKO TC15 Collegium 2026, a focused meeting dedicated to advanced experimental methods and numerical simulations for material characterisation and structural health monitoring. The special issue will bring together peer-reviewed contributions addressing experimental and computational approaches to material behaviour, damage analysis, and structural health monitoring, including applications under extreme loading conditions, with the aim of providing an up-to-date overview of recent developments in the field.

 

Submission instructions
Participants of the IMEKO TC15 event are kindly invited to submit manuscripts for this special issue. Submitted papers are expected to demonstrate novelty and originality and will undergo peer review and an anti-plagiarism check.

Important rules for all submitted papers:

- The paper should be correctly framed in the current literature about Instrumentation, Design of experimental and simulation procedures, and Measurements, considering the latest studies published in related scientific journals (e.g. 'Measurement', IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement', 'Metrologia', 'Acta IMEKO', etc)
- When submitting your paper, please write in the submission notes that 'The paper is submitted to the Special Issue related to IMEKO TC15 Collegium 2026' and specify the title of the original contribution presented at the collegium

- The use of Acta IMEKO template is mandatory; please refer to the submission rules of the Journal: https://acta.imeko.org/index.php/acta-imeko/about/submissions
