From Molecules to Models: Cutting-Edge Measuring Systems for Materials, Diagnostic Techniques, and Digital Innovations in Cultural Heritage Preservation

2025-02-27
The Thematic Issue aims to provide an overview of the latest advancements in the field of Cultural Heritage Preservation, highlighting the challenges and breakthroughs achieved through innovative measuring systems for novel materials, advanced diagnostic techniques, and digital innovations. The preservation of cultural heritage requires a multidisciplinary approach that integrates material science, physics, chemistry, engineering, and digital technologies. Cutting-edge measuring systems and diagnostic techniques enable precise analysis and monitoring of historical artifacts, and the developing and testing of new materials and conservation strategies that contribute to their long-term stability.
Moreover, measurement systems based on digital tools, including artificial intelligence, 3D modeling, and virtual reconstructions, are revolutionizing documentation and restoration processes.
