Abstract

This paper describes the approach made to describe the uncertainty on the area at zero pressure (A0) and on the deformation coefficient of piston-cylinders used for pressure definition. We perform the Monte-Carlo simulation for an ordinary least squares (OLS) as well as for a weighted least squares (WLS) and a generalized least squares (GLS). We also introduce an innovative technique to improve the results obtained by WLS in order to get close to the quality obtained using GLS. We discuss the different situations that guides to the best choice between OLS, WLS and GLS.
